Full job description
This is a full-time independent contractor position, averaging 15-20 clinical hours per week. The ideal candidate will provide therapy services to children and adolescents from 3 p.m.-7 p.m. on weekdays and/or 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the weekend. Telehealth services may be an option if it meets the needs of the client. Candidates who have experience working with children and adolescents and who incorporate play and expressive-based work are preferred. A masters degree is required for this position.
Minimum qualification requirements
Master’s Degree in art therapy, counseling, social work, psychology, or other mental health field.
Available to hold between 15-20 client sessions per week.
Other qualification preferences
Prior experience in a private practice setting.
2-3 years of experience working with trauma, children, and families; experience using play therapy.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification as a Registered Play Therapist and/or Art Therapist.
Job duties and responsibilities
Perform on-site and telehealth clinical counseling services to clients of Renew Art Therapy and Counseling, as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies.
Respond to client requests for services or calls within 24 hours.
Communicate with the client's treatment team (i.e., PCP, psychiatrist, school, etc.) as necessary.
Complete written records for each patient including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, and other documentation which may be needed.
Attend bi-weekly group consultation meetings.
Be properly licensed and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and code of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Renew Art Therapy and Counseling.
