Amanda Williams : Pre-Licensed Counselor

My name is Amanda Williams (she/her), and I am a Pre-Licensed Counselor trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), trauma-informed care, and creative therapeutic interventions that support emotional processing and self-discovery. I work with individuals across the lifespan, with a particular focus on supporting young children, pre-teens, and adolescents.

As a clinician, I believe in creating a supportive and empathetic environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to explore their own paths to healing and growth. My approach encourages clients to engage with their emotions and experiences holistically, fostering greater self-awareness and the integration of mind, body, and emotions.

Shaped by my diverse cultural background, I have developed a deep appreciation for the richness of individual identities and lived experiences. This perspective has allowed me to connect meaningfully with others, valuing their unique stories and fostering an environment of understanding and empowerment. As a former educator, I witnessed firsthand the social and academic challenges young people face, as well as the complexities within family dynamics that influence their growth and development. This experience deepened my commitment to supporting not only children, pre-teens, and adolescents but also their families in fostering healthier relationships. I integrate this understanding into my therapeutic work, helping clients build emotional regulation, self-awareness, and confidence through creative, play-based, and relational approaches.
