Pat Hwang (they/them) is a sophomore at Rutgers University–New Brunswick majoring in communications, but they also have a passion for art. Pat has been drawing since they were young and has used art to express themselves in ways words couldn’t.
They have used art to detail their journey of self-love, creating representations of their trials and tribulations through their work. Pat also uses their art for storytelling, creating illustrations and comics that center around themes of self-growth and self-acceptance.
They enjoy working with several art mediums, but their favorites are pen, acrylic, and digital. Pat uses traditional art to create symbolic pieces with simplistic objects, particularly drawn to illustrating hands, which they believe guide us through life.
Pat uses digital art to create characters with unique personalities and intricate backstories, telling absurd tales with meaningful messages.
